	Annalee Skarin (AN) Annalee Skarin was a dedicated Mormon. In her later years, she wrote the wonderful book, Ye Are Gods. Shortly afterward, in June 1952, she ascended her physical body into light. She returned with her husband Reason (whom she helped also ascend) to teach and write an additional seven books, available through DeVorss & Co. She is no longer in a continuous physical form. 	Djwal Khul (DK1) Djwal Khul, also called "The Tibetan," was a beautiful master who achieved liberation under master Kuthumi's guidance. He is profoundly learned, knowing more about the seven rays and the spiritual hierarchy than perhaps any of his peers. He channeled wisdom works to Alice Bailey, a modern leader of the Theosophical Society. 	Kuthumi (KU2) Kuthumi was a great teacher from 19th Century Kashmir, India, though he lived mostly in Tibet. He channeled writings to Madame Blavatsky, founder of the Theosophical Society, resulting in The Secret Doctrine, Isis Unveiled and other profound works. He developed the light in his heart to such a degree that it shone like a golden sun through his flesh. 	Maitreya (MT1) Maitreya, whose name is derived from the Sanskrit maitri, meaning universal love, is known to Buddhists as the embodiment of loving kindness. Ascended masters are people--ordinary people like you and me--who became so aware of their oneness with God that the physical body itself became immortal, divine light. They were able to "step through" from the
physical plane to a lighter dimension of life, taking their body with them.

Most then joined the Great White Brotherhood/Sisterhood of Light, serving humanity. There are a number of ascended master "retreats" on Earth where they work, the most famous being Shambhala. But there are at least two major ascended master retreats in the United States--one in Mt.
Shasta and the other in the Grand Teton Mountains of Wyoming.
Some ascended masters let the physical body die--their choice at the time, though not a necessary one--such as Yogananda, Ramana Maharshi, and Godfre Ray King.

Some of the ascended masters we know best are Jesus and Mary, St. Germain, El Morya, Kuthumi and Djwal Khul.
